Understanding PTO Shafts
PTO shafts, or Power Take-Off shafts, are important components that transmit power from a tractor to an implement. Here are the 5 key features of a PTO shaft:
- Length: This is the distance from the power transmission device to the receiving device.
- Rated Power: This refers to the amount of power that the PTO shaft can handle.
- Shaft Type and Connection Method: This refers to the design of the PTO shaft and how it connects to the tractor and implement.
- Torque Transmission Capacity: This refers to how much torque the PTO shaft can transmit.
- Environmental Requirements: This refers to the protective cover, sealing performance, durability and other factors that the PTO shaft needs to withstand.

Choosing the Right PTO Shaft
When selecting a PTO shaft, it’s important to consider factors such as:
- Safety Features: Look for reliable anti-jamming devices and anti-jam pins.
- Compatibility: Ensure that the PTO shaft is compatible with your tractor and implement.
- Certifications: Check for certifications such as CE to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
